VMware Announces End-User Solutions Suite at Connect 2016

Palo Alto-based VMware showed why they are an IT global leader in providing Cross-Cloud Architecture™ and solutions for the enterprise data centers, mobility and security with the announcement of new launches at Connect 2016 on October 4, 2016. Their new suite of End-User Computing solutions includes VMware AirWatch Unified Endpoint Management,VMware Workspace™ ONE™, VMware Boxer™ and MDM Migration Tool all with a focus on improving enterprise IT management of different systems.

Citing the immense technological changes that have taken place in the past decade since the introduction of the iPhone and the creation of the Internet of Things (IoT), Noah Wasmer, senior vice president, mobile products, End-User Computing, VMware, said, “No longer will IT run different systems for different devices; instead we built the single platform to manage all endpoints. With scalability, security, productivity and privacy at the core, VMware is uniquely positioned to deliver on this new digital work experience.”

VMware AirWatch Unified Endpoint Management is the industry’s first comprehensive Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution that manages desktop and mobile together under a single modern platform. This works by extending the mobile device management technologies for Windows management already available in AirWatch and enables IT to deploy security patches and OS updates faster, install software more reliably and consolidate operational processes across all devices.

VMware Workspace™ ONE™ brings a similar unified approach to users for real-time access to their apps on desktop, laptop, smartphone, tablet or in the cloud. Organizations can better manage BYO, corporate devices and Internet of Things (IoT) through the mobile application management (MAM) framework and enhanced access support, including a variety of conditional access features and ease of logging in.

VMware Boxer™ is now available for Android, rebranding on its set of Workspace ONE Productivity Apps to better reflect the mission to provide a consumer simple, enterprise secure environment that inherently protects user privacy. To improve the transition to UEM and remove barriers, VMware provides an MDM Migration Tool.

With a few exceptions, most of these products will be available after the new year. For more details click here.
